Gianluigi Bellotto, also simply known as Billo, is a businessman in Courmayeur, a real treasure of Aosta Valley located at the foot of Mont Blanc. During these years he opened, together with his wife, an apparel shop in the renowned via Roma, at n. 78. The shop was successfully managed non stop for over twenty years and the sophisticated customers helped to create a solid background within business and tourism.
Paros is one of the largest islands of the Cyclades, one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the Mediterranean Sea. Billo and his family discovered the island as tourists in the early 90s, he quickly fell in love with it and started dreaming to stay longer than just for holidays. He found nearly by accident a wonderful location in the port of Naoussa, he studied in order to become an ice cream master and he created and balanced his own original recipe. He then opened the ice cream parlor S.Cream, which is still the only real Italian ice cream parlor of the island.
It is the year of technological innovation: electronics is finally applied to every step of production, strict HACCP enforcement, introduction of the deep freeze technique, still barely used for ice creams and a spacecraft display. It is also the year of deep studies together with Mrs. Donata Panciera, one of the greatest worldwide experts on ice cream and on the nearly pathological research of raw materials and their die. The final product improves year by year and the offer multiplies. The real Italian low calorie ice cream, without saccharose, milk proteins nor gluten; personalized creations and catering and where possible Kilometer Zero products.
On the wake of the Athens Olympic Games of 2004 and no ads at all, the ice cream parlor achieved a great success all over Greece and beyond, thanks to a flawless service in 4 different languages and on top of all to a constant research of the best quality products available. It is on the best travel guides, from the Guide du Routard to the NatGeo one, but above all it passed by word of mouth of many holidaymakers who attend Paros whom kept being regular customers till today; children for sure, but also elderly people... from the famous actor or journalist to the fish boat crewmen.
More than 12 years have passed from the opening of the ice cream parlor and S.Cream is well-established in the range of the island's business. Billo, his wife Arianna and his two children Camilla and Edoardo overcame the Greek language and they are perfectly integrated into the small community. But this family's desire to do something is endless and so is their huge care toward customers' desires and needs... And here we are with a new dream, as a result of all the experience gained over the years, with stable roots, new studies and new plans, no improvisation needed but a lot of work and devotion. From June 2014 you may find in Naoussa a pizza with capital p, the real high quality Italian pizza. A new take away pizzeria was born: Billo's Pizza, the real Italian pizza "alla pala" (paddle). And together again we are putting our face, dammit...
